Who is Damian Last?
I’m a Jesus freak who thinks that everyone deserves to know they are loved.
I believe we should be celebrating our differences, not fearing them.
I believe there’s only one race: the human race.
If any of that bothers you, that’s okay. Nice knowing you.
Still with me? Cool. Here’s a little bit about who I came to be.
I love music. It informs my style, so I change it up depending what I’m working on. When I’m feeling emotional, I’m usually listening to some something soulful like GAWVI, Kirk Franklin, or Flame. When I’m feeling nostalgic, I fall back on 90s grunge. When I’m feeling on top of the world, the metal comes out. My kids are obsessed with NF and TwentyOne Pilots. My wife is a 90s pop girl.
I grew up urban, spending half my childhood in Baltimore, MD, moving from place to place for a few years, then finishing high school just outside of Charlotte, NC (go Tarheels!). As much as I love my space, I get my energy from being around people. There’s just something about life in the city…
I currently live east of Columbus, OH (I guess we sub-urban now) with my beautiful wife and our four kids. Yeah, I’m older than I look.
As for web design, it started with building my own website while I wrote books in the hopes of becoming a Sci-Fi author (still making that happen!). I love what I’m doing. There’s so much intricate detail to work with in web design, and the psychology behind online marketing continues to fascinate me.
I am now fully committed to growing my web design/online marketing business to help other authors and solopreneurs. We are proof that you don’t have to spend the best part of your life grinding away at a job you hate, barely making a livable wage, hoping your kids don’t get sick because your benefits suck and your boss is annoyed that you have to miss work…again. Can I get a witness?
What’s your story? I’d love to hear from you. The contact box below goes straight to my email, and I reply to every message, minus trolls. Even if you don’t need web work, drop me some words. I’d love to send encouragement your way.
